Hello! My name is Katy, and welcome to Haunt Darling, my first personal website.
With my growing disdain for social media, I've yearned for the old days of the Internet, where one could be true to themselves without placating an algorithm or putting on an act for views and likes. I'd spend hours browsing through people's sites and admiring all the features that made them unique. And it's also worth mentioning that old websites were FUN! Nothing had a homogenized look. People let their own personal aesthetics and personalities shine through on their sites.
I want to go back to those times - and many others do! Which is why I've created Haunt Darling, so that I can share memories, my personal works, and plenty more with reckless abandon. I'll be sharing memories, photos, personal essays, and more of my creative work. I've chosen to design my site similar to the old Web - that is, late 90s/early 2000s - as a tribute to all the sites that captured my attention when I was young.
